In the stage of preliminary voter lists display, which lasted 15 days from 30 December to 14 January 2018 for the Election of the Members of the Senate in 4th Legislature, Provincial/Capital Election Commissions (PECs) received 150 complaints in total. Cambodian People’s Party filed 123 complaints, Khmer National United Party filed 10 complaints and FUNCINPEC Party filed 17 complaints.
According to the report of Legal Service and Dispute Department of the National Election Committee (NEC) on 15 January 2018, there were 149 complaints and there was 01 objection including:
- 1st Region 17 Complaints
- 2nd Region 08 Complaints
- 3rd Region 01 Complaint
- 4th Region 19 Complaints
- 5th Region 42 Complaints
- 6th Region 11 Complaints
- 7th Region 25 Complaints
- 8th Region 26 Complaints and 01 objection
It is noted that all complaints above, PEC decided as the followings:
- Complaints approval 144 Complaints
- Written denial 01 Complaint
- Notification 03 Complaints
- Complaint withdrawal 02 Complaints
For filing, receiving and handling complaints at NEC and Constitutional Council level, no complaints have been made.
