On the morning of Tuesday 2nd June 2026, at 9:00 A.M. at the Meeting Hall of the National Election Committee (NEC), a meeting was held under the presidency of His Excellency Prach Chan, Chairman of the NEC, to review and decide on the minute of NEC's meeting and instruction on the estimated population statistic record serving for the voter lists revision and voter registration 2026.
Upon listening to the reports of the NEC Secretariat General's technical units according to the agenda item by item, the NEC meeting has reviewed and discussed the documents and decided as follows:
1. Agenda 1: The NEC meeting reviewed and revised some wordings and approved the minute of the NEC meeting on 7th May 2026.
2. Agenda 2: The NEC meeting reviewed and discussed the draft instruction on the estimated population statistics record serving for the voter lists revision and voter registration 2026. Pursuant to the draft instruction, all Provincial/Capital Election Secretariats (PESs), Commune/Sangkat authorities, and village chiefs shall be advised to arrange and implement the estimated population statistic record and determine the accurate numbers of polling stations, and shall fill out the following sample tables:
Table of estimated population statistics record in villages;
Table of population statistics record in communes/Sangkat;
Table of the numbers of voters to be removed from the voter lists;
Lists of voters to be removed from the voter lists;
Table of population statistics record and polling stations affected by the Thai military invasion on Cambodian sovereignty and territorial integrity
Table of the numbers of eligible voters who have just turned 18 and who have never been registered to vote in Communes/Sangkat (Form 1027 in Communes/Sangkat);
3. Other agenda 3: Upon listening to the report of the NEC's Recruitment Examination
Commission for the electoral officials in permanent employments regarding the results of examination held on 31st May 2026, the NEC meeting approved the report and comments of the Recruitment Examination Commission regarding the examination results of each candidate. The results of the examination shall be made public at the NEC headquarters and posted on the NEC website.
The NEC meeting was concluded by His Excellency Prach Chan, Chairman of the NEC, at 11:20 A.M. on the same day.
